July bookings: July through mid August is our busiest time of year for lodging and typically fills up with 5+ night stays. We ask for a four night minimum at that time. Two and three night stays may be taken at the last minute (within 7 to 10 days) or when a two or three night window is created by consecutive bookings. Thank you for understanding.
The Cottage is a modern, custom-built guest house featuring all new appliances, furniture and decor. Tastefully decorated, the 700 square foot house includes a full kitchen, washer and dryer, gas log heater, vaulted ceilings with ceiling fans, cable TV with DVD/VCR, and a large tiled full bathroom. The patio offers a sunny (or shady with umbrella) spot to gather for drinks or dinner. Wood burning chiminea, gas grill, large fenced yard and front yard landscaping add the the outdoor amenities of The Cottage. If you want to stretch your legs, there is now a town bike provided.
The large bedroom offers a queen bed and there is a comfortable sofabed in the living room. The front porch and living room window have beautiful views of the mountains. This is an immaculate cottage with beautiful architectural details.
The Cottage is located in a quiet residential neighborhood in Salida, within easy walking distance of historic downtown with its fine restaurants, bars, galleries, shops, and the Arkansas River. It is easy to find - six blocks from Highway 50. Hot Springs, fishing, rafting, skiing, biking, etc. are right out your door !
All vacation homes in the Pinon collection are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soap are provided as well as paper products, trash bags and coffee filters. Bring your own laundry detergent and toiletries.
Three night minimum is preferred, however, two nights may be available upon approval with a $45 cleaning fee. Two night stays will not be scheduled over two weeks in advance during High Season and Holidays. Owners reserve the right to accept or refuse three night stays during High Season and Holidays. Extended stay rates are available subject to owner use and availability. Please read rental policies (tab at bottom of page). The non-refundable $45 Accidental Damage Insurance fee is charged for stays over 3 nights. This applies towards the cleaning cost and covers accidental damage protection up to $1500. Your well behaved dog is welcome for $10/night. Visa or Master Card accepted. Cash or Check receives a 2.9% discount.
Rental agreements must be signed and returned by email or mail at time of reservation.

Date of Stay October 2, 2009 We enjoyed the weekend at The Cottage. It was the perfect size for our little family. While my husband spent the day fishing, my baby and I walked downtown. It was nice to walk back to a nice home to play and relax while we waited for him. Salida was a nice place to visit, relax and enjoy the fall weather.
