July bookings: July through mid August is our busiest time of year for lodging and typically fills up with 5+ night stays. We ask for a four night minimum at that time. Two and three night stays may be taken at the last minute (within 7 to 10 days) or when a two or three night window is created by consecutive bookings. Thank you for understanding.
Bright Star Ranch is a custom log home situated on 40 very private acres with gorgeous mountain views in every direction. As you lounge on the large wrap around deck or from any window inside the home, you will see some of the most majestic views in all of Colorado, including the Collegiate Peaks, San Juans and Sangre de Christo mountain ranges. In the evenings take in the twinkling lights of Salida in the valley below. The home has five bedrooms offering: 2 Kings, 1 Queens, 1 Full, 4 twins (includes bunk beds), crib and fold-out couch. There are three full baths, den, loft, large great room, dining room and modern kitchen with breakfast bar. The mudroom has large capacity washer and dryer and plenty of room for organizing recreational gear. Master bedroom has a private balcony and seating area plus a private bathroom with a large whirlpool tub plus separate shower and two sinks. Beautiful stone fireplace and the views from the great room allow you to relax in comfort. Loft with library is stocked full of interesting reads and comfortable lounging. The house has wireless internet, satellite TV and a great log outdoor playset for the kids!
Bright Star Ranch is perfectly situated near most area activities, including skiing and riding in all natural snow at Monarch Mountain, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, rafting and kayaking on the Arkansas river, horseback riding, hot springs and more! The charming shops, cafes and galleries of Buena Vista and Salida are a fifteen minute drive.
All vacation homes in the Pinon collection are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand and dish soap are provided as well as tp, trash bags and coffee filters. Bring your own laundry detergent, paper products (paper towels, napkins) and toiletries. Three night minimum is preferred, however, two nights may be available upon approval. Two night stays will not be scheduled over two weeks in advance during High Season and Holidays. Owners reserve the right to accept or refuse three night stays during High Season and Holidays. Rates are based on twelve person occupancy. Add $10 per person per night over 12 people. State and local taxes are added. Your well behaved dog is welcome for $10/night. $45 applies towards the cleaning cost and covers accidental damage protection up to $1500. For stays of less than 3 nights, a short stay cleaning fee will be charged ($165.00). Visa or Master Card accepted. Cash or Check receives a 2.9% discount.
