July bookings: July through mid August is our busiest time of year for lodging and typically fills up with 5+ night stays. We ask for a four night minimum at that time. Two and three night stays may be taken at the last minute (within 7 to 10 days) or when a two or three night window is created by consecutive bookings. Thank you for understanding.
The views are outstanding from this lovely house on the hill! From the top deck or living room enjoy panoramic views of the Collegiate Peaks and Salida's "S" mountain. Majestic Vista is a great escape to the good life. Come to kick back, relax and enjoy the scenery, hit the biking trails or even get inspired to "bag a peak"! Majestic Vista is easily accessible to highway 50 and situated just south of the Salida Hot Springs pool (perfect after a mountain bike ride or a ski day at Monarch) and is a brief drive or bike ride to historic downtown Salida and it's many shops, galleries and cafes. Dogs with well behaved humans are welcome with approval.
The home offers two separate living areas, a main and lower level, with seperate entrances. It's great for those multi family or friend trips with plenty of space for everyone! The main floor has two bedrooms with Queen size beds and the upstairs Master Bedroom is very roomy with a Queen bed and large bathroom/dressing room area. The lower level "bedroom" is a large rec room with adjacent bath which comfortably sleeps 4 or more on 2 single convertable chairs (great for kids!) and 1 Queen sofa sleeper. There is an additional roll-away cot and sleeping pads for the big slumber party! The kitchen opens to a deck with fabulous views of Mount Shavano and the Sawatch Range. It is well equipped for family meals with a spacious dining table that seats 10. The main floor living room has a gas fireplace, leather sofa/love seat and TV with dish/DVD and VCR. Wireless internet. The downstairs living area also has a TV with satellite options and a selection of movies.
All vacation homes in the Pinon collection are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soap are provided as well as tp, trash bags and coffee filters. Bring your own laundry detergent, paper products (paper towels, napkins) and toiletries.
Three night minimum is preferred, however, two nights may be available upon approval. Two night stays will not be scheduled over two weeks in advance during High Season and Holidays. Owners reserve the right to accept or refuse three night stays during High Season and Holidays. Rates are based on eight person occupancy. Add $10 per person per night over 8 people. Pets are welcome with a $10.00 per night additional fee. State and local taxes are added.
$45 applies towards the cleaning cost and covers accidental damage protection up to $1500. For stays of less than 3 nights, a short stay cleaning fee will be charged ($62.50). Visa or Master Card accepted. Cash or Check receives a 2.9% discount. Rental agreements must be signed and returned by email or mail at time of reservation.

Reviews of Majestic Vista   Nice Home for a large group at the right price Reviewed by Alan Dunaway on 3/7/2012 We had a group of 10 people (6 adults and 4 children) stay at this property for a ski vacation over spring break 2011. The house is very comfortable and fully furnished. The location is a short disance outside of town (less than a mile) and gives the property more of a country feel. The drive to Monarch Ski resort from this property is about 25 minutes. The house has three levels and allows a large group like ours to spread out. Upstairs is the master bedroom and bath with a walk out deck which faces the mountains (great view!). The main floor consists of the kitchen, living room, two bedrooms, and a full bath. The kitchen area is large with all the appliances and seating required to accomodate our large group. The living room area is right next to the kitchen with plenty of comfortable couches and chairs. It also has a fireplace. Their are three full bathrooms with all the amenities expected for bathrooms. The basement lounge/bedroom area was perfect for the kids, plus they had their own bathroom. We had two problems while staying at this property. When we arrived, the house had not been cleaned following the last renters. However, when we called, housecleaning came within the hour and cleaned the house while we went shopping for groceries. The other problem was loss of water to the house on one of the days. Once again, following a call to the rental agency representative, a repairman responded that day and the water was restored that same day. For our inconveinance, the rental agency comped us for that day. All in all, I would stay at this property again, even with the problems detailed above. | | | | | | | |
