July bookings: July through mid August is our busiest time of year for lodging and typically fills up with 5+ night stays. We ask for a four night minimum at that time. Two and three night stays may be taken at the last minute (within 7 to 10 days) or when a two or three night window is created by consecutive bookings. Thank you for understanding.
Brand new, impeccably furnished with a view of Mt. Shavano that takes your breath away! The Lyons family offers Lyon's Den as your Heart Of Colorado home away from home. Kick back, relax in the HOT TUB and enjoy the scenery, hit the biking trails or be inspired to "bag a peak"! Lyon's Den is a beautiful 8 minute drive from historic downtown Salida and it's many shops, galleries and cafes. Hop on 285 to access raft companies and the Arkansas River. Monarch Ski Area is within 20 minutes from home. The home offers living and dining areas with expansive views of the Collegiate Peaks. Neighboring homes are distant enough that you will feel privacy and a sense of open space around you.
There is a spacious cook's dream kitchen and luscious bedrooms. The partially covered court yard offers a large gas grill and outdoor dining. The courtyard is also a nice enclosed spot for Rover to relax in the shade or catch some rays. The main floor master suite offers a King bed, wall mounted gas fireplace and bath with jetted tub and dual head shower. The main floor living room has a large gas fireplace, a nice big leather sofa that's comfortable for a sleeper, love seat and flat screen TV. A second flat screen and DVD player are in the master bedroom. The second floor offers two bedrooms with 3 Queen beds and a queen size inflatable, a full bath and loft/study area with a comfortable couch for one sleeper. That means it sleeps 11 people, though only 8 in beds.
All vacation homes in the Pinon collection are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soap are provided as well as tp, trash bags and coffee filters. Bring your own laundry detergent, paper products (paper towels, napkins) and toiletries.
The garage is not for guest use. Three night minimum is preferred, however, two nights may be available upon approval with a $50 cleaning fee. Two night stays will not be scheduled over two weeks in advance during High Season and Holidays. Owners reserve the right to accept or refuse three night stays during High Season and Holidays. The non-refundable $45 Accidental Damage Insurance fee applies towards the cleaning cost and covers accidental damage protection up to $1500. Dog with approval only and $15/nt fee. Rates are based on six person occupancy. Add $10 per person per night over 6 people. Please read rental policies (tab at bottom of page). Visa or Master Card accepted. Cash or Check receives a 2.9% discount.

- A wonderful family home for a skiing holiday -We stayed here over New Year 2011 and were delighted to find so much space and such great facilities. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything we needed. The master suite, complete with gas fire, is wonderful with a huge ensuite bathroom. Double rooms provided excellent living space for 2 teenagers. The house is an easy 30 minute drive from Monarch Mountain and an even easier 7 minute drive to Salida. It was great to see deer in the garden and to see a fish eagle fly overhead. We enjoyed the hot tub and also ventured out to the hot springs at Mt Princeton.
